Aliyev Asks Macron to Help Conclude Agreement with Armenia on His Terms

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, congratulated Emmanuel Macron on his re-election as President of France.

In his congratulatory message, Aliyev referred to the developments in the South Caucasus, particularly the "process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan." He expressed hope that France would "support the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the preparation of a peace agreement based on the principles proposed by Azerbaijan for both countries." According to the Azerbaijani president, this would ensure sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
