We Welcome Uruguay's Immediate Response to Cavusoglu's Nationalist Gesture - Aghajanian
On the eve of the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu's nationalist gesture displayed to representatives of the Armenian community in Montevideo is a condemnable act that does not contribute to the environment of understanding and dialogue between the two peoples.
This was stated by Edward Aghajanian, the chairman of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia, on his Facebook page.
“We welcome Uruguay's immediate response by summoning the Turkish ambassador to the country's foreign ministry for explanations,” the post reads.
