Putin Discusses Possibility of Meeting with Zelensky

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in response to European Council President Charles Michel's call for direct communication with Vladimir Zelensky, noted that this possibility depends, in particular, on the results of negotiations, the Kremlin's press service reports.

“Charles Michel, during his recent visit to Kyiv, informed about his communications with the Ukrainian leadership... Responding to Charles Michel's call for direct communication with Vladimir Zelensky, the Russian president reaffirmed his well-known stance on this issue, stating that such a possibility, in particular, depends on the specific outcomes of the ongoing negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian representatives, during which the Ukrainian side has demonstrated inconsistency and is not ready to seek mutually acceptable solutions,” the report states.
