Putin Discusses the Nagorno-Karabakh Issue
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that many issues remain regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh situation. As reported by an Armenpress correspondent, Putin made this remark during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on a two-day official visit to the Russian Federation.
“Of course, security issues, including those related to Nagorno-Karabakh, will remain in our focus. I agree with you that many issues remain unresolved. We are in constant contact; if not every week, then definitely every 10 days we have a phone conversation. We also have regular meetings, despite the pandemic period. I am glad to see you, welcome,” said Putin.
The Russian president noted that more than 200 agreements have been signed between Armenia and Russia, creating a good opportunity to work in almost all areas, with the most significant being the economic sector. “According to our data from 2021, trade turnover increased by 80 percent. In the first months of this year, it has also increased by 50 percent. This is a very good indicator for this period,” concluded Putin.
