If You Don't Go to the Elections, What Should You Do? Hovik Azaryan Discusses When and Under What Circumstances New Elections Will Be Held
If society splits into two regarding the Artsakh issue, and there are a lot of people present in the square, then what should you do if you don't go to the elections? This statement was made by Hovik Azaryan, a member of the "Civil Contract" party, in an interview with 24News.am.
"If society splits regarding the Artsakh issue, and there are many people in the square, then what should you do if you don't go to the elections? We are a parliamentary country; if there is polarization in society surrounding the Artsakh issue, we must have new elections, but naturally, that won't happen tomorrow or the day after; it will probably be a year later," he stated.
Thus, he referred to the protest action taking place in Freedom Square. Regarding concerns that Nikol Pashinyan is continuously making concessions and endangering Armenia and Artsakh, Azaryan disagreed. "I do not agree that Nikol Pashinyan is making concessions; if he were making concessions, we would have nothing to give; we would have given everything; he is making clarifications," he said.
