Anahit Avanesyan Hides Her Membership in the 'Civil Contract' Party, Hraparak
The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, discussed her non-partisan status in an interview with Hraparak.am today, stating that she has never been a member of a political party. However, she emphasized that she is always considering the possibility of party membership and will apply to join a party once she makes her decision. 'If it aligns with my principles, then I will consider joining the Civil Contract party first,' she noted.
Nevertheless, during the parliamentary elections of 2021, Anahit Avanesyan was on the pre-election list of the 'Civil Contract' party, and she submitted the necessary documents for candidacy to the Central Electoral Commission. According to the official data published on the Commission's website, Anahit Avanesyan is indeed a member of the 'Civil Contract' party. The notation of her name on the CEC website merely indicates that she resigned from the mandate as a result of being included in the government. Other candidates who are not party members or belong to different parties are noted in the same table accordingly.
