Prime Minister Reveals Casualties of the 44-Day War as of Today
The number of casualties from the 44-day war as of today stands at 3,825, with the bodies of the majority identified or identified through DNA and buried. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the government performance report in the National Assembly.
"I have accepted my guilt and responsibility for both the war and the defeat from the very beginning, but I have not accepted and will not accept the accusations directed at me by the opposition since November 9, 2020, accusing me of surrendering land and treason. At first glance, this may seem absurd, accepting guilt but not the accusation. Perhaps in all realms of political and moral discourse, the time has come for this division to be resolved. If I am to be given an objective accusation, it should not be for surrendering land, but for not surrendering it. I want to confess that it is possible, and yes, I am guilty in that regard," said Nikol Pashinyan.
According to him, surrendering might have saved thousands of lives, whereas not surrendering has made him the author of decisions leading to thousands of casualties.
