Aliyev: We Will Perceive That as an Unfriendly Step and Respond Accordingly Regarding Armenia's Armament
During a meeting on April 12 dedicated to the results of the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated, “During the Second Karabakh War, we destroyed Armenian equipment worth 4-5 billion dollars, some of which we have taken and showcased in the ‘War Trophy Park.’ The question is, where does such money come from for impoverished Armenia? Where do these loans come from? Are these loans being repaid or not? Or are they written off? If these loans did not exist, I am quite sure that there would have been no need for the Second Karabakh War.”
According to the Azerbaijani autocrat, if Armenia did not allocate such significant funds for armament, then Yerevan would “lower its head and agree” with Baku.
“Therefore, if money is allocated to Armenia for military purposes, we will perceive that as an unfriendly step and respond accordingly,” emphasized Ilham Aliyev.
