State Duma Proposes to Ban 'Traitors' from Returning to Russia
Member of the State Duma’s Security and Anti-Corruption Committee, Sultan Khamaev, has announced that the State Duma has grounds to develop a law that would prohibit ‘traitors’ from returning to Russia. Among those mentioned are journalist Alexander Nevzorov, rappers Morgenshtern and Face, as well as former representative of the Russian president Anatoly Chubais. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Khamaev, “people who have fled the country like Nevzorov, Ivan Dremin (rapper Face), and Alisher Valeev (alias Morgenshtern), as well as a number of former high-ranking employees of state corporations, journalists, and theater figures, do not deserve the right to Russian citizenship.”
