Ukraine Halts Trade Relations with Russia
The cessation of trade relations initiated by the Ukrainian government will cost Russia approximately $6 billion annually, as announced by Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister during a national information marathon.
The government has also decided to forcibly expropriate the assets of two Russian banks located within Ukraine. Despite analysts predicting a 35-40 percent decline in Ukraine's GDP, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the government is focused on measures to help the economy recover more rapidly.
