Deputy Foreign Minister Appointed as Ambassador to Kazakhstan: Prime Minister's New Decision
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has signed a decree to dismiss Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Gheghondyan from his position.
According to the Prime Minister's decision, "Guided by Article 9, Part 1 of the Law on Public Service of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Gheghondyan is relieved of his duties as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs."
By a decree from President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Armen Gheghondyan has been appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Kazakhstan.
"Based on the Prime Minister's proposal and in accordance with the second part of point 2 of Article 132 of the Constitution, as well as Article 14, Part 1 of the Law on Diplomatic Service, Armen Gheghondyan is appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Kazakhstan (residing in Nur-Sultan)," the President's decree states.
