Surent Papikyan and the Ambassador of Romania Meet
On March 31, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan welcomed the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Armenia, Cornel Ionescu, along with the military attaché accredited to Armenia, Colonel Mircea Juguranu (based in Tbilisi). This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, issues related to regional security were discussed. The Minister of Defense presented the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Nagorno-Karabakh, highlighting the Republic of Armenia's positions and proposals aimed at de-escalating tensions.
Additionally, topics concerning both bilateral and multilateral cooperation formats were also discussed. The parties expressed their readiness to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
