Zakhrova on Relations Between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Peace Treaty
Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova stated that Russia will continue its work on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "Moscow will rely on the trilateral statements of the leaders, including on border delimitation and demarcation, as well as the unblocking of economic ties and communications. Russia is ready to contribute to the signing of a peace treaty between the sides.
Regarding the recent escalation of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Foreign Ministry has already called for the preservation of trilateral statements, while the Ministry of Defense and peacekeepers are taking measures for de-escalation. The Russian side is in constant contact with Yerevan and Baku," Zakharova said during a briefing.
