Shoigu Addresses Statement on Conscripts
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced that Russian citizens drafted this spring will not be sent to hot spots, TASS reports.
"I want to emphasize that conscripts will not be sent to any hot spot," Shoigu said during a meeting on Tuesday.
He also noted that "all servicemen drafted during last spring's conscription will be transferred to the reserve and sent back to their places of residence after their service term ends."
It is noteworthy that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation aimed at the demilitarization of Ukraine.
