Rainfall to Resume. Temperatures to Decrease by 5–7 Degrees

From August 27 to 31, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in most regions of the Republic of Armenia, particularly during the night and afternoon. This was reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is noted that in some regions, the rainfall may be heavy, with a possibility of hail. According to the announcement, winds will be coming from the southeast and east at a speed of 4-7 m/s, with wind gusts of 20-25 m/s expected during thunderstorms.

The air temperature is gradually expected to decrease by 7-9 degrees during the daytime until August 30. In Yerevan, the Ararat Valley, and the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor, a high fire danger situation is anticipated today.

In Yerevan, from the evening hours of August 27-28, and during the night and afternoon of the 29-31, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. During thunderstorms and evening hours, wind gusts of 18-23 m/s are anticipated.
