The Prosecutor General Imposes Disciplinary Sanctions on Two Prosecutors
Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against autonomous officials at the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district prosecutor's office and the military prosecutor's office of Yerevan on June 15, 2026. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
On August 18, 2026, the ethics commission associated with the Prosecutor General confirmed the existence of disciplinary violations in the actions of two prosecutors during its session.
The disciplinary proceedings recorded unexcused absences from court hearings, while in another instance, it was confirmed that an autonomous official failed to adhere to the prosecutor's conduct and internal workplace discipline rules.
Based on the Prosecutor General's decisions on August 21, 2026, one autonomous official at the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district prosecutor's office has been given a disciplinary sanction of “warning,” while another at the military prosecutor's office of Yerevan has received a “severe reprimand.”
