Turkey Advocates Diplomacy Over Sanctions Against Russia
Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Donmez, announced that Turkey supports diplomacy rather than sanctions. This was reported by RIA-Novosti.
“Our president has also stated that we are not in favor of sanctions against Russia. We have good trade relations and support resolving issues through diplomatic means,” Donmez said. He added that Ankara expects that sanctions against Russia will not affect the country's supply of Russian gas. “We expect that this will not impact us. We also have frequent conversations, and such discussions have not occurred yet. Turkey does not have problems regarding the supply of natural gas,” the minister emphasized.
