Russian Armed Forces Destroyed 2203 Ukrainian Military Infrastructure Objects: Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 2203 Ukrainian military infrastructure objects. This information was disclosed during a press briefing by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"On the morning of March 6, the Russian Armed Forces disabled an airport of the Ukrainian Air Force in Starokonstantinov using precision weapon strikes. The Aerospace Forces of Russia have shot down 8 enemy aircraft: four Su-27s and one MiG-29 in the Zhytomyr region, Su-27 and Su-25 in the Radomysl area, and a Su-25 in the Nizhyn region. In total, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 69 aircraft on the ground and 24 in the air during the special operation in Ukraine, as well as 778 tanks and other armored combat vehicles," General Konashenkov reported.
The spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry further noted that on the evening of March 5, the Russian Armed Forces delivered a massive strike, destroying 61 Ukrainian military infrastructure objects.
He added that the forces of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have established control over 11 populated areas. DPR forces have taken control of the Old Crimea district in Mariupol city.
It is reminded that in the early hours of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he decided to begin a military special operation against Ukraine at the request for assistance from the LPR and DPR.
