Arthur Davtyan Accidentally Met Wanted Gevorg Kostanyan in Kremlin Hall: Raffi Aslanyan

Lawyer Raffi Aslanyan's statement: "The Prosecutor General of Armenia, Arthur Davtyan, accidentally met the former Prosecutor General of Armenia, Gevorg Kostanyan, among the honored guests at the Kremlin Hall during the celebrations for the 300th anniversary of the Russian Prosecutor's Office. Let’s set aside the details of their conversation, especially since the content cannot be pleasant. But, I genuinely do not envy the current procedural head of Armenia's law enforcement agencies, who sees with his own eyes his former superior—now a ‘wanted suspect’ in a criminal case under his supervision—receiving such a welcome from the law enforcement agencies of a friendly state and meeting a ‘wanted person’ in such an environment.

Such events, regardless of political or other circumstances, once again highlight the absence of justification in the pre-trial actions conducted in criminal cases in Armenia, the formal nature of the judicial oversight conducted regarding the legality of these documents, and consequently, the disrespectful attitude towards these documents and our country’s law enforcement agencies in international relations."
