Not Everyone Can Be Registered for the Courses: Active Armenian Language Learning in Azerbaijan
Armenian language learning is rapidly gaining momentum in Azerbaijan. Special courses have been launched alongside language universities, as reported by Sputnik Azerbaijan.
Huseyn Askerov, a lecturer from the Caucasology department, admits that he cannot register everyone who wants to participate in the courses.
It is noted that the audience mainly consists of employees from the state security service, the ministry of foreign affairs, border guards, and journalists. The courses are free for students; for others, the monthly cost ranges from 60 to 120 manats (approximately $35-70).
“In the future, we plan to open more advanced conversational Armenian language courses affiliated with the university,” Askerov stated.
