Biden Signs Order Allowing Sanctions on Certain Russian Pipelines
U.S. President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Friday allowing the Washington administration to impose sanctions on certain Russian pipelines intended for energy exports. This was stated in documents released by the White House.
“I have signed an executive order to take additional measures regarding certain Russian pipelines for energy exports, in connection with the state of emergency declared in Executive Order 14024 on April 15, 2021, related to the extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States posed by certain harmful foreign activities of the Russian government,” the U.S. leader stated in a letter to congressional leaders.
