Pope Francis Changes Brazilian Bishop Due to Intimate Video

Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Bishop Tomé Ferreira da Silva from the position of bishop of São José do Rio Preto in Brazil. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

It was noted that last Friday, a video was uploaded to social media showing the 60-year-old Catholic bishop in a semi-naked state during an intimate video call with another man. In response to questions from Brazilian reporters, Ferreira da Silva confirmed that it was indeed him in the video, but he declined to comment on the content of the footage.

Pope Francis has appointed Archbishop Moacir Silva from Ribeirão Preto as the temporary head of the diocese.
