Ukrainian Entrepreneur Sells Coal Mines in Russia; Buyer is Armenian Citizen
Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK company is selling its coal enterprises located in Russia’s Rostov region, including the companies ‘Donetsk Anthracite’ LLC, ‘Sulin Anthracite’ LLC, and ‘Obukhivskaya Mine Management’ LLC.
According to Kommersant, Cyprus-based Valleyton Investments Limited may emerge as the buyer of these mines. The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia has already approved their application for the acquisition, allowing them to determine the terms of operation for the companies owned by DTEK.
The publication also notes that, according to Cyprus registry data, the owner of Valleyton is an Armenian citizen, Elena Hovhannisyan, a name that is not widely recognized in the coal market.
