Death Toll from Floods in Turkey Reaches 27
As a result of floods in Turkey, 27 people have lost their lives. This was reported by RIA Novosti. Earlier, the President of Turkey mentioned 17 fatalities.
“In the Kastamonu region, 25 people have died due to the flooding, 2 have died in Sinop, and one person is missing,” stated a report released by Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.
Search and rescue operations are still ongoing, with over 600 people evacuated. More than 300 settlements are without electricity.
