Black Box of A-26 Aircraft Crash in Kamchatka Found
The black box of the A-26 aircraft that crashed in Kamchatka has been found. This was reported by the administration of the village of Palana.
The recordings will be decoded in Moscow. The box shows no external damage, and the search for the second box is ongoing.
Earlier, it was reported that rescuers reached the cliff where the aircraft crashed. Strong winds complicated the access to the site. The Russian Emergency Services' Mi-8 helicopter made several unsuccessful attempts to land on the cliff.
Rescuers are currently examining the seabed, using quad bikes, drones, and all-terrain vehicles. Parts of the aircraft are being transported from the crash site to assist in the search for missing components in the sea. Pathologists and forensic experts continue to investigate the remains of the passengers.
