Lavrov and Cavusoglu to Meet Today in Turkey: Agenda Revealed
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Antalya on Wednesday, during which they will discuss further steps towards resolving the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by the TASS agency.
“The situation in the South Caucasus will also become another important topic in the negotiations between the heads of the foreign affairs departments of Russia and Turkey,” the statement said.
Commenting on the declaration signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan in Shushi, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that Moscow does not consider it appropriate to mix issues related to the resolution of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh with the foreign relations of the countries in the region.
