Russian Experts Create World's First Aerial Mining System Against Drones

Russian specialists have developed the world's first "aerial mining" system against unmanned aerial vehicles, reported Alexander Zakharov, the chief designer of the ZALA Aero group (part of the Rostec state corporation's Kalashnikov group).

According to the information from Armenpress, citing RIA Novosti, Zakharov stated that the system will be based on the kamikaze "Lancet" drones, which are capable of flying at twice the speed of potential adversary drones and can easily destroy them.

"We will be able to do this at a speed of 300 kilometers per hour during an upward flight very comfortably," Zakharov declared on the Russia 1 television channel.

Moreover, the "Lancets" can stay airborne for several dozen hours, effectively creating a "mining" effect.

Currently, the system is undergoing testing, during which the drones are being trained on balloons.
