700 Million Euros: Messi Reaches New Agreement, Leaving Barcelona

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has reached an agreement with the City Football Group, the owners of Manchester City, regarding a five-year contract. According to the Daily Record, the parties have agreed on a five-year deal worth 700 million euros.

The 33-year-old Argentine will spend three years with Manchester City before heading to the American club New York City FC, where he will play for an additional two seasons.

The report notes that Messi has also been offered an equity stake in the company, but the player may prefer to receive cash instead due to difficulties related to the valuation of City Football Group's shares.
