Former Head of NSS Shirak Regional Directorate Appointed as Deputy Head of Investigative Committee Transferred to NSS Today
Yesterday, Armen Abazyan, the former head of the NSS Shirak Regional Directorate appointed as the Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee, will be transferred to a different position within the NSS today. This was reported by NEWS.am.
It is noteworthy that the current head of the NSS, Argishti Kyaramyan, was appointed as the Deputy Head of the NSS through a similar expedited scheme. In just one day, he was relieved of his duties as Deputy Head of the PAS, then was freed from the Investigative Committee, and subsequently appointed as Deputy Head of the NSS. Although all official sources denied the information circulating in the media that this maneuver was conducted to appoint Kyaramyan as NSS Director, some time later, former NSS Director Eduard Martirosyan was removed from his post, and Kyaramyan was appointed in his place.
