Traffic Resumed on Georgian-Russian Border
Traffic on the Georgian-Russian border has been resumed, and the Dariali border checkpoint is continuing to operate as usual.
It has been reported that as of 18:00, the road is open for all types of vehicles.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has announced this.
Earlier, it was reported that an automatic early warning system for natural disasters was activated at the Dariali customs checkpoint, located in Upper Lars. The entire customs staff was immediately evacuated.
As a precautionary measure, traffic of all types of vehicles was completely halted in both directions near the village of Gvelheti.
