Classes to Resume in Public Schools Starting September 15: Details
During today’s meeting of the emergency commission, it was decided that classes will resume in public schools, as well as in preliminary and secondary vocational institutions, music, arts, and fine arts schools starting September 15, with in-person instruction while adhering to sanitary and hygienic regulations. This was announced by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Arayik Harutyunyan.
“Decisions regarding universities and several other educational institutions will be made within the coming week. The emergency commission, our other partners, and the ministry have jointly developed detailed procedures and guidelines for all matters, which will be published and disseminated in the coming days. We ask you to follow only official news regarding this issue from government, emergency commission, ministry, and minister's pages.
Dear teachers, parents, and students, in the coming weeks, we must together ensure a successful start and smooth progression of the academic year while taking into account the restrictions imposed by the pandemic and avoiding media provocations.”
