New Special Shelter to Be Built in Abovyan for Asylum Seekers in Armenia
A new special shelter for asylum seekers is set to be constructed in the Kotayk region of Armenia. The government has adopted the corresponding decision.
According to the decision, a residential building located at address 4 in the Shushi neighborhood of Abovyan, along with its boiler house and a 2-hectare plot allocated for their use and maintenance, has been granted an indefinite and gratuitous usage right to the Migration and Citizenship Service’s ‘Special Shelter’ unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The cadastral value of the property, which is close to its market value, stands at 313 million 219 thousand 658 drams. The justification for the decision indicates that the area will serve as the site for the construction of a new special shelter for asylum seekers, in accordance with international standards.
