Two Turkish Soldiers Killed in Idlib

Two Turkish soldiers have been killed in Syria's Idlib province. According to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Defense, the soldiers died from airstrikes conducted by the Syrian government forces on February 26, with two others injured.

The Turkish side retaliated by attacking the positions held by Bashar al-Assad's forces, reports Ermeni Haber.

As per sources cited by the Turkish outlet, the Turkish military destroyed one ZU-23 anti-aircraft system, one anti-tank system, three tanks, and one vehicle carrying armored personnel belonging to the Syrian government forces. Additionally, the Turkish army has seized three tanks that belonged to the Syrian army.

Reports circulating in various Turkish sources indicate that, as a result of the clashes in Idlib, 114 soldiers from the Syrian government forces have been killed.

Recently, the Syrian government forces have been conducting military operations in Idlib to clear the province of terrorist groups. During these operations, clashes have also been noted between the Turkish forces present in Idlib and the government army.
