16 Illegal Structures Discovered in One Month
In January 2020, a total of 199 inspections were carried out, of which 26 were conducted within the framework of a subsidized program aimed at the development of economic and social infrastructure in communities by the Government of Armenia. This information was provided by the State Inspection Body for Urban Development, where inspectors participated in the work of acceptance committees for 131 completed constructions.
During the reporting period, 86 positive and 45 negative conclusions were issued regarding the completion acts. The inspections revealed a variety of results across regions: a total of 16 illegal structures were identified throughout Armenia during the oversight activities conducted by the inspectors.
During this time, the Inspection Body examined a total of 20 substantiated complaints related to the urban development sector, with solutions provided for 18 of these cases. Additionally, 20 protocols were drafted regarding administrative accountability. Consultation was provided to 90 operators and citizens, 43 of which (47.8%) were initiated by the Inspection Body itself.
