Car Slides into Nearby Gorge on Yerevan-Meghri Road
On February 20 at 08:11, the National Crisis Management Center reported an accident on the M-2 highway near the intersection leading to the village of Herher, where a vehicle has slid into a nearby gorge. No injuries have been reported.
This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations press service, which dispatched a firefighting and rescue squad from the regional rescue department to the scene.
It was determined that at the 144th kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri section of the M-2 highway, a Toyota Camry (driver: Davit A.) went off the road and slid into a gorge approximately 2 meters deep.
The rescuers disconnected the car's power supply and closed the gas cylinder valve before extricating the vehicle from the gorge.
