The Amount of Bonuses in the National Assembly has Reached Approximately 900 Million Drams
In 2019, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia had a budgeted allocation for two bonus funds: "Bonuses, monetary incentives, and special payments" totaling 817,785,700 AMD and "Bonuses for civil, judicial, and other state officials" totaling 83,645,300 AMD. This was reported to Aysor.am in response to our inquiry regarding the total amount of bonuses paid in 2019.
The news outlet notes that all employees of the National Assembly of Armenia (including deputies and staff) received bonuses from the first fund 11 times, with actual expenses in 2019 amounting to 815,981,352 AMD.
The second fund provided bonuses to employees classified as civil servants of the National Assembly, distributed biannually.
All bonuses were calculated and paid based on the directives issued by the President of the National Assembly.
