Armenia Leads Economic Growth in EEU, CIS Countries, and Europe: Pashinyan
According to data from the first three quarters, Armenia is leading in economic growth among the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, and, according to the International Monetary Fund, also in the European region. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
“Fact number 2. Preliminary data for the first three quarters of 2019 shows that Armenia's GDP growth was around 7.5%, which exceeds the corresponding indicator for 2017 by 1.6 percentage points and 1.3 percentage points compared to 2018. Based on the three quarters, Armenia ranks first in economic growth in the EEU and CIS countries, and according to the International Monetary Fund, also in the European region. The final indicator of GDP for Armenia for 2019 will be published in February,” he noted.
