Firefighting Efforts Halted in Shnogh Village Due to Darkness

On December 27, at 08:00, 20 rescuers were dispatched to the site with the aim of resuming firefighting efforts. At 10:52, the ‘911’ service received information that a fire that had erupted on the slope known as ‘Gugut’ in Shnogh village had spread, with new hotspots identified (approximately 5-7 ha). About 40 ha of land is ablaze (10 ha of grass cover and 30 ha of vegetation).

At 13:50, an additional 7 rescuers were sent to the scene. However, at 18:44, firefighting operations were halted due to darkness. The firefighting efforts also involved 25 employees from the ‘Lalavari’ forestry branch of the ‘Hayantar’ State Forest Committee, 13 staff from ‘Teghut’ LLC, and 5 residents of the Shnogh community.
