Black Ice Reported in Vardenyats Pass

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 20 at 08:00, the roads in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable.

In the Vardenyats Pass, there are areas with black ice. Truck drivers are advised to use chains.

Information about Lars: According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

Construction work is ongoing: On the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen road, construction work is being carried out, resulting in the closure of the road section for trucks. The following alternative route has been established: Dilijan-Noyemberyan-Bagratashen.
