Fog, Black Ice, Construction Work: Roads in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of December 15 at 10:00 AM, there are impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Sotk-Karabakh highway is open for all types of vehicles, while trucks can only pass with the use of snow chains.
Black ice is present in places on the Vardenik Pass and the Sotk-Karabakh highway.
Fog has been observed in the cities of Talin, Aparan, and Ashtarak in the Aragatsotn Province, as well as in the village of Lanjik in the Shirak Province.
According to information from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Emergency Situations Ministry of Russia, the Stepanavan-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.
Construction work is being carried out on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway, resulting in the closure of this section for trucks. An alternative route has been established: Dilijan-Noyemberyan-Bagratashen.
