Road Conditions in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 8, roads across Armenia are mostly passable. The Sotk-Karvachar highway and the Vardenyats Pass are open to all types of vehicles, and for freight transport, the use of snow chains is required.
According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open to all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
Construction works are being carried out on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway, resulting in that section being closed to freight vehicles. An alternative route has been established.
