Some Journalists Operate in the Realm of Fantasy: Ararat Governor on Incident Reports Involving Him
Ararat Governor Garik Sargsyan has responded to an article published on the 168.am website concerning him, stating: “Another piece of disinformation about me has appeared on 168.am titled ‘Another Incident Involving the Ararat Governor.’ Apparently, some journalists operate in the realm of fantasy. This time, it turns out that I have beaten a hairdresser for not grooming my hair. However, to be serious, I declare that the information contained in this media outlet and the article are completely false.
Once again, I urge this media outlet and other news outlets that have copied from them to verify the accuracy of any material before publishing it. It is understandable that the news is a cause for a new sensation for you, but this time, let me spoil your tone.
In connection with this material, I also wish to draw the attention of law enforcement agencies and request that they thoroughly investigate this matter and, if there are signs of a crime therein, take immediate measures to clarify the circumstances of the so-called ‘incident’ attributed to me and the credibility of the ‘offense’ ascribed to me.”
