Azerbaijani Journalists Visit Artsakh: Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
From November 17 to 21, under the facilitation of the personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, reciprocal visits of journalists from the Republic of Artsakh, the Republic of Armenia, and Azerbaijan took place. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh.
During the visit to Artsakh on November 20-21, Azerbaijani journalists visited the Gandzasar Monastery Complex, toured Shushi, and visited the «Yeznik Mozyan Vocational School», as well as the State Museums of Geology and Fine Arts, familiarizing themselves with the city's attractions.
In the capital, Stepanakert, the journalists visited the «Karabakh Carpet» weaving company, the Artsakh Information Technology Center, and the «Artsakhbio» canned food factory, and also held meetings with representatives of Artsakh's civil society and media.
This initiative, coordinated with the parties involved, should be seen as a pilot step intended to create favorable conditions for the advancement of the peace process through the implementation of confidence-building measures.
For the past 20 years, the Artsakh side has repeatedly proposed measures aimed at strengthening confidence, including reciprocal visits of journalists.
