Nikol Pashinyan Welcomes Historic Vote by US Congress on Twitter
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has welcomed the historic vote by the US Congress on his Twitter page.
“I applaud the historic vote by the United States Congress which recognizes the Armenian Genocide. Resolution 296 is a steadfast step towards truth and historical justice, and it serves as a consolation for the millions of descendants of those who survived the Armenian Genocide,” Pashinyan wrote.
The Prime Minister also added, “With a vote of 405 in favor, 11 against, and 3 abstentions, the US House of Representatives passed the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. This is an important step in the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the global prevention of genocides. Let us honor the memory of the one and a half million innocent victims of the Great Genocide.”
