The US Senate Committee on September 27 approved an amendment aimed at providing Armenia with additional funding to support democratic and economic reforms, according to the Armenian National Committee of America. These allocations are set to be in addition to the guaranteed $17.6 million in economic assistance and development funding, $1.5 million for combating drug trafficking, $600,000 for international military education and professional training, and $1 million for financing foreign armed forces.
