VIDEO: Large Sum Embezzled from Credit Organizations
Officers from the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Police have carried out various operational and investigative measures and obtained information that a significant amount of money has been fraudulently embezzled from one of the credit organizations operating in Yerevan. The Police of the Republic of Armenia reports this.
According to currently available data from the investigation, a group of individuals has pawned other people's vehicles under different pretexts at the credit organization but has not repaid the money received from the organization.
During the preparation of materials, it was revealed that 19,360,000 drams were fraudulently embezzled from the credit organization. Evidence has also been obtained indicating that the pawned vehicles have either been dismantled and sold or taken out of the territory of Armenia and sold in a foreign country.
In other words, due to the criminal activities of these individuals, material damage has also been inflicted on the citizens whose names were registered and pawned for the vehicles.
