Pashinyan Has Telephone Conversation with Trump: Launch of TRIPP Construction Discussed

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has had a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

During the call, Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude to President Trump for organizing the Peace Summit at the White House in Washington on August 8, 2025, and for witnessing the signing of the Peace Declaration by the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, highlighting the decisive importance of President Trump’s personal efforts in establishing peace.

The two leaders positively noted that the Peace Summit in Washington has led to real peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is seen and felt by the peoples of both countries.

During the conversation, they discussed the current status of the TRIPP project. Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Trump reaffirmed their determination to commence construction of TRIPP in the near future.
