Turkey May Transfer American Ballistic Missiles to Ukraine: Quantities Revealed

The U.S. Department of State has informed Congress about a proposal to transfer American weapons from Turkey, specifically MLRS multiple rocket launchers and ATACMS ballistic missiles, to Ukraine, as confirmed by official congressional documents.

"The deal described in the accompanying certificate includes the transfer of 12 M270 MLRS multiple rocket launcher systems to the Ukrainian government, along with 2524 M26 dual-use improved cluster munitions (DPICM) missiles and 47000 M509A1 203 mm DPICM shells," the document states.

The arms transfer is expected to be facilitated by Turkish private companies MKE, ASFAT, and ARCA Savunma, Bulgarian private company VTIC International Ltd., as well as American private companies Pansophico and Patriot Defense Group.

"The deal involves the transfer of 70 modified ATACMS missiles to the Ukrainian government through Turkish private MKE and American private companies Pansophico and Patriot Defense Group," another notice indicated.
