I Urge Arsen Torosyan to Speak His Mind to the Person's Face: Shushan Danielyan

Shushan Danielyan, the head of the Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU), commented on the statement made by Health Minister Arsen Torosyan regarding today's failed press conference, which he claimed was entirely the fault of YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan.

“I urge Arsen Torosyan to say his piece to the person's face. This is completely misinformation. Gevorg Tamamyan's journey allows him to express his own opinion, and at that moment, the minister had the opportunity to answer all the questions. Gevorg Tamamyan voiced the opinions of many successful doctors,” Shushan Danielyan told us.

When asked why Arsen Torosyan specifically named Armen Muradyan, Danielyan stated that it would be better to inquire directly with the minister.

It is noteworthy that during Health Minister Arsen Torosyan's press conference today, oncologist Gevorg Tamamyan entered, trying to ask questions, but Torosyan said he did not want to speak with him and left the conference unfinished. Instead, Gevorg Tamamyan spoke, mentioning that the minister avoided military service, as it has been noted he had health issues, yet he was a registrar in Stepanakert, which is not a valid reason for avoiding military service. Tamamyan also claimed that close associates of the minister have been appointed to all governing councils of hospitals.
