VIDEO: 28-Year-Old Driver Hits Police Patrol Car and Flees the Scene
On June 8, in the city of Abovyan, police officers conducting special duties noticed a "Hyundai" vehicle speeding on August 23 Street around 7 PM. The driver of the vehicle failed to comply with the legal demands of the police and fled in the car, hitting a traffic police patrol car on Yerevan Street in Abovyan.
After the collision, the "Hyundai" driver continued to flee, while police officers pursued him. He was apprehended and taken into custody in the village of Balakhovit. The sobriety of the 28-year-old driver was assessed, revealing that he was under the influence of alcohol. An investigation is underway at the Kotayk division of the police regarding the incident.
